Sidewalk Chalk

Although this is a more well known style, it is still a very interesting one. I love the idea of twisting the mind into believing something is 3D or that it is actually there. It also must take a lot of patience to create such masterpieces because chalk is so easily smudged, especially on the streets of downtown with thousands of people walking back and forth throughout the day. The other cool part of this art style is that it usually ties in with its surroundings. such as this photo of Demon like creatures escaping from the underworld. The ground is cut up and he adds this into the artwork having some of them pushing up or completely vanishing.

High Dynamic Range imaging

HDRI, or high dynamic range imaging is a very cool technique used in photography. Three photos are taken, at the exact same angle of the exact same thing. The only difference is each photo has a different exposure setting. One that is over-exposed, one taken at regular exposure, and one that is under-exposed. These three photos can then be blended in Adobe Photoshop to create these stunning images. HDRI gives photos a very surreal look almost like its out of a photo realism art exhibit.

Money Origami

These are some really cool origami pieces i have found made out of money. This is very creative because it not only takes precision to create the origami but to also line the faces up correctly. These are some Pieces I have found that are pretty cool!

Mystery Introduces Trevor Colden

I went to Youtube to find a video i was going to use for my next blog post, when i decided to watch this video first. To be honest i have just been watching it over and over again for the last half an hour. Trevor Colden is 16 years old and has just made it big with this Mystery sponsor. This video really shows how advanced kids are when skating these days and those few who have what it takes to make it to the top

Window Grime Artist

Scott wade is an artist from Texas who creates works of art on the windows of cars. Before he starts his work, he first washes off the windshield and then applies saw dust through a blow drier. After he is finished with this. he then starts to create the image by using paint brushes. Wade is known all over the world as the "Dirty Car Artist" or "The Da Vinci of Dust"

How to create a ramped slow-mo effect in Sony Vegas Pro

Ramped Slow-mo's are a technique to smooth out a clip from playing at regular speed, to slow motion. This is an essential if you want to learn how to edit skate videos and a good way to learn different clip blending techniques for other projects. Ramped slow-mo's are created in After Effects, but for those who do not have it, this is a very accurate hack job that will get the job done. The idea is that splitting clips at a rate of 1 cut every 2 frames, and blending them together will give you a smooth transition from regular speed, to slow motion and back to regular speed again. The most memorable aspect of a ramped slow-mo is the sound. to create this effect, you will want to right click each clip of audio that is ramped, and go to properties and select "lock to stretch". There you have it your own way of Ramped slow-mo in Sony Vegas.

Pinball Skatepark in New Zealand

Mountain Dew has come up with a crazy new advertisement to promote their new drinks. The commercial involves a skateboarder riding around a pinball machine gaining points. After the commercial is finished shooting they will asleep hold a contest run by Mountain Dew and then leave the park up for the locals to skate. The park was made out of ply-wood, Masonite and fiberglass and only took 17 days to build. I found this very interesting because this was an example of a little idea that was put on a large scale
